Charles M. Saunders is al lang serieus bezig met #Spinoza

Saunders noemt zich “an independent philosopher and Spinozist. Ik kwam zijn bijdragen tegen op de website Against Professional Philosophy die zegt als doelen te hebben:

 

The twofold purpose of Against Professional Philosophy is, first, to provide a serious critique of contemporary professional philosophy, for the sake of real philosophy–namely, anarcho-philosophy aka borderless philosophy–and second, to prepare the way for the real philosophy of the future by featuring past or present philosophical work that is aggressively cosmopolitan and non-chauvinist, critically challenging and edgy, daringly generalist and original, fully humanly meaningful, slightly weird, and generally deemed “unpublishable” in mainstream venues.

Daarop verschenen van hem diverse gastblogs, waarvan ik alleen naar die over Spinoza verwijs:

 Vervolgens ontdekte ik dat Charles M. Saunders al geruime tijd bezig met het voornemen een zestal 'pamfletten' over Spinoza's filosofie aan de man te brengen.
Hij schreef een aantal boekjes die bij o.a. Amazon te koop zijn; en hij brengt ze ook op zijn pagina bij academia.edu. 
Over zijn project schreef hij in april dit jaar een blog op Ordinary Philosophy. Hier eerst dat blog, daarna de boekjes:

Ik heb al deze teksten uiteraard nog niet gelezen (denk ook niet dat ik dat nog ga doen) en kan er dus ook geen oordeel over uiten. Ik heb door diverse boekjes virtueel wat 'gebladerd' en kreeg wel interesse in Saunders aanpak, die mij enigszins aan het werk van deze blogger doet denken. Je komt in zijn werk allerlei uitstapjes tegen naar dichters en oudere teksten over Spinoza, zoals je die ook op dit Spinozablog kunt tegenkomen.
