Het
verrassende is dat waar teksten over “Nietszsche én…” per land werden opgesomd, voor
“Niederländische Philosophie” er blijkbaar alleen teksten over “Spinoza,
Benedictus de” en Nietzsche bestaan - toch iets om op te merken.
Enfin, mij
lijken het wel genoeg studies, maar ik 'vrees' dat er altijd wel weer mensen zijn die menen
er nog eens hun licht over te moeten laten schijnen.

Abstract: This paper aims to show that there are no clear signs of a direct reading of Spinoza in Nietzsche’s writings. It also aims to clarify some preliminary aspects of the Nietzsche-Spinoza problem and does so by analysing Kuno Fischer’s introduction to Spinoza’s philosophy, which Nietzsche read in 1881 and 1887. In undertaking the analysis, the paper explores the genesis and meaning of Nietzsche’s approach to some aspects of Spinoza’s philosophy, such as the notions of “reason”, “morsus conscientiae” and “amor Dei”. It also discusses the possible role of Paul Bourget in the formation of Nietzsche’s image of Spinoza.
